Day 1: Arrive JKIA and transfer to the city
On arrival at Nairobi Airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Depending on your arrival time you may have the option to visit Nairobi National Park in the afternoon or visit Karen Blixen’s House, the Giraffe Centre or Daphne Sheldrick’s famous elephant orphanage.

Day 2: Full day in Nairobi
Today is at your leisure, a chance to acclimatize and adapt, with an overnight at the Stanley Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 3: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
This morning you will be met at your hotel by your driver/guide and transferred by road to Lake Nakuru National Park for birding and wildlife viewing. In Nakuru you will have a chance to look out for the more common bird species such as Rock Thrush, Lesser and Greater Flamingoes, Rupell`s long tailed starling, Green wood hoopoes, African Fish Eagle, Tawny Eagles, and many non-resident winter species that migrate here.
The mega mammal list includes the White Rhino, here protected from poachers. Nakuru is also the only site on your itinerary for the rare Rothschild’s Giraffe. During your visit here a picnic lunch will be provided at the Cliff picnic site where you may well share it with Black kites, Cliff chats and Rock hyraxes before driving onto Lake Baringo.
The rest of the evening is at your leisure with an overnight at Lake Baringo Country Club on Full board basis.

Day 4: Full day in Lake Baringo
The day will be spent bird watching with an overnight at Lake Baringo Country Club on Full board basis.

Day 5: Lake Baringo to Kakamega Forests
Today you will probably add to your birding list with yet more exciting species accompanied by one of the local expert guides. This will include: Little Weaver and D’Arnaud’s Barbet, Slender-tailed Nightjar, Heuglin’s Courser, Spotted Thick-knee, Northern Masked, Little, Jackson’s and Vitelline Masked Weavers, Bristle-crowned Starling, Hemprich’s and Jackson’s Hornbills, mouse-coloured Penduline Tit, Brown-tailed Rock Chat, Verreaux’s Eagle Owl, White-faced Scops Owl, the beautiful Sunbird and much more.
After a late breakfast you will head to the Kakamega Forest. On the way you can expect further birding at the spectacular Kerio Valley where you may see the Little Bee Eater and Fan Tailed Raven. Overnight at Rondo Retreat on Full board basis

Day 6: Kakamega to Kisumu

Bird life in Kakamega Forest is incredible, and includes the Great Blue and Black-billed Turacos, Grey Parrot, (the forest has about 18 pairs of grey Parrots) the only remaining population in Kenya, Yellow-billed, Grey-throated, Yellow-spotted and Hairy-breasted Barbets, several Woodpeckers, Scaly-throated and Thick-billed Honeyguides, Turner’s Eremomela, Banded and White-chinned Prinias, Blue and Dusky Crested Flycatchers, Chapin’s Flycatcher, several Greenbuls and Illadopsises, Yellowbill, Bar-tailed Trogons. Kakamega is also home to the Potto, the slowest mammal on earth as well as the endangered DeBrazza monkey.

You will return to Rondo Retreat for lunch following which you will be transferred to Kisumu on Lake Victoria arriving late afternoon. If time permits a chance to do some birding around the swamps in Kisumu where you can expect to spot a number of Lake Victoria specialities at ‘Hippo Point’ to include; Wing-snapping Cisticola, Black-headed and Papyrus Gonoleks, Carruther’s Cisticola, Swamp Flycatcher, Papyrus and Yellow-fronted Canaries, Black-billed Barbet, White-browed and Blue-headed Coucal, Greater Swamp Warbler and many more depending on luck.

Day 7: Kisumu to Maasai Mara Game Reserves
After breakfast you will have the option to bird the swamps around Lake Victoria again for species you may have missed the previous evening.
You will then drive to the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, birding the plains en route to the lodge where species such as the Common Stone Chat, Usambiro Barbet, Yellow throated Long Claw, White Bellieb Bustards… may be spotted.

Set in the heart of Africa’s Great Plains, the Masai Mara boasts 1,672 square kilometers of un spoilt wilderness. It is home to the highest concentration of animals and birds in the world.

Day 8: Masai Mara
The full day will be spent exploring the Mara Plains for birds and mammals. It is almost pointless to highlight yet again the Mara’s fauna list but here we go: endangered Black rhino, elephant, leopard, cheetah, lion, spotted hyena, topi, impala, Thompson gazelle, buffalo, kori bustard (heaviest flying bird in the world), ostrich, giraffe, zebra and wildebeest and so much more. This is one of the few remaining places in Africa where you can see the famous ‘Big Five’ together. Overnight at the Serena Lodge on full board basis.

Day 9: Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park
After a dawn game drive and breakfast we drive to Isebania / Sirari border between Kenya and Tanzania to enter Serengeti National Park, this world famous Tanzanian haven and wildlife sanctuary.
We spend a night close to Lake Victoria’s shore. Dinner and overnight stay at Speke Bay Resort or Kirejeshi Tented Camp On Full board basis

Day 10: Speke Bay to Serengeti Western Corridor.
After Breakfast you will leave the lodge / Camp and drive to Serengeti National Park, enjoy a full day game drive in the Serengeti National Park’s western corridor. Dinner and overnight at Mbalageti Serengeti on Full board basis.

Day 11: Full day in Serengeti National Park Western Corridor
Enjoy another full day game drives inside Serengeti National park western corridor, it is after breakfast that you leave the lodge with picnics and head out to the bush for a full day game drive.

Day 12: Serengeti Western corridor to Central Serengeti
After breakfast you leave the lodge with packed lunch and drive to Serengeti Central, game viewing en route before entering Serengeti national park to experience the world’s largest gathering of fauna, home of the migration. Wildebeest, zebra, lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, hyena and a myriad of antelope as you drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Serena Lodge on Full board basis

Day 13: Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a full day game drive inside the Serengeti National Park, you can either choose to leave the lodge with picnics for a day long game drive or go for a short drive and return to the camp for lunch before continuing your game drive in the afternoon.

Day 14: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today your final chance to view life’s rich animal pageant as you drive through the Serengeti en-route to the Ngorongoro highlands to view the world famous Olduvai Gorge, where Louis Leakey found the then earliest remains of mankind’s hominid ancestry. We follow this with a visit to a local Masai Boma. Picnic lunch will be served on the way to Ngorongoro. Then proceed to the Ngorongoro crater;

Day 15: Ngorongoro crater tour
After breakfast, you descend to the floor of the crater for a half-day crater tour inside this world heritage site; enjoy a beautiful scenic view as you descend.
The crater wall surrounds a relatively small area making viewing of the huge concentration of wildlife a real spectacle.
Picnic lunch will be served inside the floor of the crater before ascending back to the crater rim for a beautiful panoramic view (have your cameras ready) of the crater as the sun sets upon unique Ngorongoro.

Day 16: Ngorongoro Conservations Area to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast leave Ngorongoro with picnic lunch and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, enjoying a beautiful rift valley view as we approach this ‘garden of Eden’, that is Lake Manyara National Park.
Lake Manyara is relatively small as a park but many visitors claim this to be one of the most beautiful of Africa’s parks. Ernest Hemingway called it “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”.
It is rich in aquatic avi-fauna and birdlife generally with 400 species, of which you can expect to see 100 in any given day; but it also houses much of the mega-fauna associated with Africa:- elephant, large buffalo, giraffe, zebra and wildebeest.
In the narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favoured haunt of Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lion and large-tusked elephant.

Day 17: Lake Manyara to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast leave Lake Manyara with picnic lunch and drive to Tarangire National Park, enjoying the scenic views en-route, including Mto wa Mbu colourful market. Proceed to Tarangire National Park (often referred to as Tanzania’s best kept secret) for a full day game drive.
Tarangire is home to some of the biggest elephant herds anywhere in Africa with herds of 300 plus often scene. It is also home to over 550 species of bird, the highest number breeding in one habitat anywhere in the world.
It is the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem and includes the rare fringe-eared Oryx and peculiar looking long-necked gerenuk. Overnight stay at Tarangire Sopa Lodge on FB

Day 18: Tarangire to Arusha
After breakfast enjoy another morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, before driving back to Arusha and onto Kilimanjaro International Airport where we wish ‘Karibu Tena’ (Welcome Again) before you board your flight for home.

OR You will be transferred to Arusha arriving for an early lunch at the River House or Arusha Hotel. This tour takes us to explore, Nairobi National Park (the very first game park in East Africa), Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru National Park, Amboseli, Ngorongoro,Serengeti and Manyara We welcome you to explore this unspoilt African wilderness.

Arrive Nairobi, upon arrival we meet and greet at JKIA and provide a private transfer to your city centre located hotel.
Nairobi is the capital of Kenya, is cosmopolitan and lively, the largest city between Johannesburg and Cairo.
Set against city skyscrapers is a national park full of wildlife, Nairobi National Park – a haven for lions and rhino, as well as zebra and many antelopes. The rest of the morning is free for you to explore or relax.
In the afternoon you join a city tour of Nairobi that includes a visit to Karen Blixen’s house and Giraffe Center.
Then back to your hotel for overnight at The Stanley Hotel B/B basis.

The tour provides an up close and personal interaction with people and some of Africa’s famous animals, where guests have the opportunity to view giraffe as well as feed them.

Day 2: Nairobi to Masai Mara.
We leave Nairobi after breakfast and drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve, often considered the finest game sanctuary in the country.
Located in the south-western corner of Kenya, this vast rolling plain beneath the Mara escarpment, is home to an incredible scene of millions of wildebeest and zebra migrating north from the Serengeti plains during the migration season (July/September) offering the reserve’s resident lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena plenty of food. During your stay, early morning and afternoon game drives are scheduled with your expert driver guide in your private safari vehicle.
The Masai Mara provides a great variety of wildlife including wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, impalas, topi, gazelle, lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant which are all common .
You’ll also see rhinos, hippos, elephants and the diverse and beautiful bird life population. You may also see the proud Maasai warriors herding their cattle alongside a spectacular wildlife backdrop.
Maasai tribe’s people live on the reserve’s fringes and are co-owners of the reserve, sharing in revenues from tourism.

Day 3: Full day in Masai Mara.
Today you enjoy an early morning game drive to reveal the hundreds of bird species in the reserve, including Africa’s heaviest flying bird the Kori Bustard. Large orange-buff pel’s fishing owl is a common sight along the river, but rare elsewhere.
Or for a different perspective, join an optional hot-air balloon safari above the sweeping plains of the Mara, ending with a champagne breakfast in the bush (US$450 per person).
After spending the balance of the morning at leisure, in the afternoon you can join for an optional visit to a Masai Village (US$25 per person) where you learn about the customs and culture of the Masai people.
Then we are back on safari this evening. Our experienced driver guides will point out the different environments and explain their significance to the Mara’s ecosystem.
You will also have the chance to see rhinoceros, once abundant, but now severely decimated by poachers for the high black market value of their horns. Return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Masai Mara Serena or Sopa Lodge on Full board basis

Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru.
After breakfast at Masai Mara, travel by road to Lake Nakuru, well known for its splendid birdlife.
Lake Nakuru is part of the shallow lakes formed on the floor of the Rift Valley.
Here you’ll find a huge concentration of flamingo. Abundant fish in the lake also attract pelicans, herons, cormorants and fish eagles. There are more than 400 special of birds here.
Enjoy bird watching walks and plenty of photo opportunities.
Optional horse rides can be arranged here. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge on full board basis.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Nairobi onward to Amboseli National Park.
After breakfast we drive to Nairobi via Lake Naivasha. Optional boat ride can be done in this fresh water lake. A souvenir stopover is also recommended in this area.
Your lunch today will be at the unique and famous Carnivore Restaurant, featuring a variety of wild game meat roasted on spits. After lunch we head to the south into Amboseli National Park, set against the backdrop of legendary Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, and referred to as ‘the Roof of Africa’.
Amboseli is home to the “Big Five” of African wildlife: elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard.
The view of the Amboseli plains, with elephant moving below the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro, is one of the most photographed vistas in Africa.
A network of swamps and wetlands ensure excellent game viewing year-round.

Day 6: Full day in Amboseli National Park.
A typical day on safari begins with an early morning game drive which is the best time for viewing wildlife in the relative coolness of the morning and the late afternoon.
This will usually last until mid-morning, when you return to your lodge for breakfast. You can then either choose to laze at the poolside or do another game drive.
After lunch and a relaxing afternoon, you will head out for an evening game drive.
This lasts from mid-afternoon until sunset, a time when the predators are beginning to think about ‘dinner’! There are 425 recorded bird and 56 mammal species in the park.

Day 7: Amboseli to Ngorongoro Crater via Arusha City.
Today early we set off after breakfast and drive to Tanzania via the Namanga border, not far away. Your driver guide will assist you with border formalities before continuing on to Arusha for lunch at the Arusha Hotel.
Continue after lunch to the rim of the great Ngorongoro Crater, an ancient volcanic caldera and great natural amphitheater, the location for the next 2 nights.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Tour.
After breakfast you descend to the floor of the crater with picnics for 6 hours of game drives on the floor of the crater, as you experiences the Africa of bygone days, the ‘lost world’ of Ngorongoro Crater.
Within the Crater’s walls lie short grassland, swamps, forests and fresh water lakes, inspiring continual migration of animals. From your 4×4 vehicle, you will have an opportunity to spot the ‘big five’- buffalo, elephant, leopard, the black manned lion and the endangered rare black rhinoceros.
Zebras, wildebeest and gazelles are common here.
A picnic lunch in the heart of the crater is the highlight of the tour, later this afternoon you ascend to the crater rim for a great sundown and onward to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena or Sopa Lodge on Full board basis.

Day 9: Ngorongoro to Serengeti.

After breakfast in Ngorongoro, we starts the timeless journey to Serengeti with reminders of how earth was millions of years ago. We Visit Olduvai Gorge and explore the history of mankind.
This is the area where Dr. Leakey’s family unearthed ancient stone tools and early fossils of our ancestors, experts at the small museum will give you detailed information regarding the gorge’s rich and unique history. Then you continue with your journey across the Serengeti plains, a picnic stop at Naabi Hill gate before procceding into Serengeti. There will be plenty of game viewing en-route.
Millions of wildlife take refuge in Serengeti National Park, rich is pasture for grazers and thus attracting big lion prides and other carnivores. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena or Sopa Lodge.

Day 10: Full day in Serengeti National Park.
Today you explore Serengeti at large, enjoying the endless views of Serengeti. Take a picnic lunch or return to your lodge for a hot meal.
This game drive take you into the heart of the vast Serengeti Savanna. You may spot numerous prides of lion, zebra, hyena, leopard, cheetah, elephant, rhinoceros, hippo, buffalo, jackals, gazelles and primates. And as the day grows old nothing is quite as memorable as the spectacular African sunsets.

Day 11: Full day in Serengeti
It is another new day in Serengeti, something is happening in the bush, we leave early after breakfast and head out to the bush for a full day of game drives, again you choose between a picnic lunch in the bush or return to your lodge for hot lunch before continuing in the afternoon.
Later in the evening return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena or Sopa lodge on Full board basis.

Day 12: Serengeti to Lake Manyara.
Today is the last day for game viewing in Serengeti National Park. We leave the lodge after breakfast and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. We pay a visit at a local Masai boma near Ngorongoro area, then onward to Manyara arriving for lunch at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.
A busy afternoon discovering the ecological and medicinal value of the park’s flora and viewing fauna as your experienced driver guide takes you for a short nature walk.
This is followed by a game drive inside the park, the park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, also resident hippos, baboons, impala and herds of elephants are all likely to be seen.
Lake Manyara is a bird-watcher’s delight. A unique safari by canoe for some fascinating game viewing is an optional activity. The acacia woodland surrounding the lake attracts continual herds of herbivorous.

Day 13: Lake Manyara to Arusha and on to Nairobi.
After breakfast you leave Manyara and drive to Arusha for lunch. Depending on where your international flight is departing from, we can arrange the transfer to Nairobi using the same private safari vehicle or by busing a shuttle bus from Arusha to Nairobi JKIA International Airport, OR if your flight is departing from Kilimanjaro International Airport then we provide private transfer to Kilimanjaro international Airport.
This safari can be customized, so should you wish to extend your safari to a beach holiday to Zanzibarand Pemba Islands then please ask us to arrange it for you.
We can also extend the itinerary to experience the other parts of Tanzania’s hidden treasures in the south. Selous Game Reserve, Ruaha National Park, Mikumi National Park, Udzungwa Mountains and Katavi National Parkall part of the southern tourist destinations. Day 2: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast at your hotel, leave Nairobi for drive to Nakuru, stopping for a boat ride on beautiful Lake Naivasha.
Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the famous yellow barked Acacia, known as the ‘fever tree’. These forests abound with bird life, and Naivasha is known as a world class birding destination. Leave Naivasha for onward trip to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Lunch is served at Lake Nakuru Lodge in Nakuru upon arrival. Lake Nakuru is a soda lake on the basin of the Rift Valley. The main attraction to this national park is the large concentration of nearly two million flamingoes that flock seasonally to feed on the blue-green algae.
You may spot resident rhinos as you enjoy your afternoon game drive then drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge on Full board basis.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara
You leave Nakuru for drive to Maasai Mara, the perfect wildlife sanctuary.
Lunch is served upon your arrival at Serena Mara Lodge.
The greatest animal spectacle in the world – The Great Migration, occurs here every year. Besides the numerous zebras and wildebeests, the park hosts rhino, giraffe, topi, elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, jackals, hyena, hippo and much more.
This park, which is an extension of Tanzania’s Serengeti, has more wildlife in a concentrated area than anywhere in East Africa. The Maasai, who live and graze their herds on the outskirts of the park, enjoy a peaceful co-existence with the wildlife.
Enjoy a 2 hr game drive in the Mara and then back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Serena Mara Lodge.

Day 4: Full day in Masai Mara Game Reserves
An early wake- up call will be followed by a cup of tea or coffee before your early morning game drive, often a prime time for viewing. Then, back to the lodge where breakfast awaits.

Day 5: Masai Mara Game Reserves to Nairobi onward to Mombasa
You leave Maasai Mara for drive back to Nairobi where lunch will be served at the Stanley Hotel.
Drive to Wilson Airport for the flight to Mombasa which departs at 1400Hrs.
Upon arrival in Mombasa we meet and greet and provide a private transfer to the beach hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Mombasa Serena Beach Hotel on Half board basis
Day 6:Full day in Mombasa
This day is at your leisure to enjoy the beach and facilities on the beautiful Indian Ocean. Optional water activities available then dinner and overnight stay at Mombasa Serena Beach on Half board basis.

Day 7: Mombasa Serena to Moi International Airport to Nairobi
After breakfast drive to Moi International Airport in Mombasa for 9:00 am flight to Nairobi.
We meet you again at NBO JKIA and provide a private transfer to the famous Carnvivore Restaurant for a sumptuous BBQ lunch and some relaxation before the transfer back to the airport for your flight home.
