Day 1.
Arrival date, you will be received and get transferred to your Hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 2.
After breakfast, you will depart to Tarangire with lunch boxes, afternoon & evening game drive. The park consist of natural vegetation mainly of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania's dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals - the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings.

Day 3.
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater with lunch box, have full day game drive in the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania's last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants.

Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor. Late afternoon drive to Nainokanoka campsite for the arrangements of Donkeys, Masai guide. Dinner and overnight at campsite.

Day 4.
After breakfast, walk from Nainokanoka to Empakai point (7.30 hrs trek, picnic lunch). Here, overlooking the great Rift Valley to the west, the views are breathtaking. To the east, Mt. Meru and Mt. Kilimanjaro loom in the distance while Lake Natron and the volcanic cones of Lengai and Karamasi can be seen below to the north. Dinner and overnight at Embakai Crater Rim campsite.

Day 5.
After breakfast, start trekking walk from Empakai to Naiyobi, a friendly Maasai village and continue on to campsite (7.30 hrs trek, picnic lunch).

Day 6.
After breakfast walk from Naiyobi to Lake Natron (7.30 hrs trek, picnic lunch). Lake Natron is the only known breeding ground for East Africa's flamingoes.
After lunch you will drive back to Arusha.

On this unique trip camp is carried by Maasai donkeys rather than vehicles. Although the camp is even lighter and the trip is a bit rougher, it gets you into remote Africa and you visit three very different cultural groups. Walking is mixed with vehicle game viewing.

Day 1: Ngorongoro Crater.
Drive from Arusha into the Ngorongoro Crater Highlands and stay on the rim of the Crater Dinner and overnight at Campsite

Day 2: Ngorongoro.
Full day in Ngorongoro Crater. In the morning we will descend the 2000 foot Crater in our 4-wheel-drive vehicle and spend the day exploring the floor of the 12 mile wide Crater. Ngorongoro wildlife populations are resident year round and are particularly good for photographing as they are well habituated. We will have a picnic lunch and ascend back up to our lodge in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Oldeani Mountain Camp One.
From the lodge on the Crater rim we will drive to the base of Oldeani Mountain and hike up to our Mountain camp, 3-5 hour. The campsite has stunning views to the west of our route down to Lake Eyasi in the Rift Valley Escarpment. On this day we will meet our Donkey support team and the Maasai herdsmen who will help us move down the mountain.

Day 4: Mti Moja, Camp two (mountain camp).
In the morning get our loads loaded on the donkeys. The walk is 4-6 hours hiking through the spectacular mountains vegetation. We will follow wildlife and donkey trails down the mountain and camp at Mti Moja or "the big tree" camp.

Day 5: Upper Endabaga River, Camp three (mountain camp).
Again we pack up the donkeys for another day of travel down the mountain. We hike for a full day and finally find camp near the river in the forest.

Day 6: Lower Endabaga River, Camp four.
We say goodbye to our donkey crew and drive to our Camp which will have been set up near Lake Eyasi. We will have lunch at campsite and then we can walk a short distance to visit the Wahadzabe, one of the last Hunter gather tribes in East Africa.

Day 7: Lower Endabaga River, Camp five .
Spend a full day visiting and walking with the Wahadzabe tribesmen. Help them stalk wildlife, search for edible roots, or scoop honey from a tree.

Day 1:
Pick up from Dar es Salaam and arrive for lunch, or if arriving late then just light refreshments. Nestled within woodland along the banks of the great Rufiji River lies Selous River Camp, an enchanting safari camp tucked into the untamed African bush adjacent to the vast, unfenced Selous Game Reserve. Day 2:
after breakfast full day game drive in a specially modified safari vehicle with a professional guide, in which you should see and learn much about a large number of animals, including all the great favorites – lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra – and all the other major species including the now rare African hunting dog. Great variety of bird species. Wonderful scenery, with varied topography: wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest and higher ground with long views to far-off mountains. Packed lunch and time to rest. Your guide will select a location with shade and water nearby to watch animals coming to drink – a place with a clear view all round so that no predator can creep up unseen! Back to the lodge by 6.30 for sunset and dinner when you’re ready o/n Selous River Camp (B, L, D)

Day 3:
Up early for a walk through the bush and along the riverbank to learn about the local environment. Back after the walk for breakfast, and then departure for Dar Es Salaam (B)

Day 1:
Your flight to the UNESCO World heritage site of Selous Game Reserve will leave Zanzibar at 0930 and takes one hour. You will be met at the airstrip in Selous by your Sable Mountain Lodge guide who will transfer you to the lodge. En route, you will enjoy your first experience of this incredible and diverse reserve. After lunch, head out into the reserve on an afternoon game drive. Overnight at the Sable Mountain Lodge. (L, Di)

Day 2:
After your first night in Selous, awake early to a dawn chorus and spectacular views from your room (“banda”). After a quick cup of tea or coffee, head into the reserve as dawn breaks for a full day game drive and a thrilling boat safari on Lake Tagalala. There is nothing quite like sitting with your packed breakfast amongst the huge hippo pods, crocs and amazing birdlife on the lake. Return to the lodge for a late lunch and relax by the pool or visit the lodge’s tree house & water hole for the remainder of the day, the choice is yours (Packed breakfast, L, D)

Day 3:
This morning, awake again before dawn and leave the lodge this time on foot to explore the surrounding area and the smaller flora and fauna often missed on a game drive. Enjoy a tree house visit en route back to the lodge to check if anything is drinking at the waterhole. Return to camp for a late breakfast before relaxing around the lodge or at the spring water swimming pool. After lunch, visit a local masai village close to the lodge which is home to Saita, chief of this particular village and friend of Sable for many years. The close proximity with Saita ensures that this is a non-commercial experience which often includes Saita as escort giving an explanation of the traditional uses for various indigenous plants in the area. Afterwards, return to the lodge for your final night at Sable Mountain. (B, L, D)

Day 4:
After breakfast, transfer to the Matambwe airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar.
